Product changelog

What is new, improved, and fixed.

Customer-facing notes about meaningful InvoiceCraftly releases. Newest entries appear first; implementation details and sensitive security information stay out of the public log.

Workspace, templates, and trust

Safer repeat workflows and clearer ways to begin

New

  • Focused homepage and dedicated editor. The public homepage now explains the product with a finished invoice example and tested starting points, while document creation opens in its own distraction-free editor route.
  • Recent local documents. Continue, duplicate, create the next invoice, delete and immediately restore one document, or clear the complete local document list after confirmation. The open document is clearly marked and longer lists stay compact until you choose to show all.
  • Professional template library. The new Templates page brings together five editable starting points with finished fictional previews, accurate profession-specific guidance, and direct editor actions.
  • Document-format guides. New Quote, Estimate, Receipt, and Credit Note pages explain when each format may be useful, how the editor changes, and what to verify before sending.
  • Reusable business defaults. New blank documents can reuse your seller details, branding, logo, currency, locale, payment preferences, and template without copying client details.
  • Contact and feedback forms. You can now ask product questions, report technical or privacy concerns, and send product feedback through protected forms.
  • Partnership enquiries. A focused new page invites product integration, distribution, template and educational-content, or carefully scoped licensing conversations directly with the Founder and Product Owner.
  • Public ownership information. The About page now identifies the Founder and Product Owner, and new Changelog and Security & limitations pages explain who builds the product and its current boundaries.

Improved

  • Safer document launch links. Invoice, document-type, template, local-draft, and duplicate links now open through one controlled editor entry while older sample links remain compatible.
  • Safer local backups. Versioned backups include referenced logos, are checked before import, and preserve the existing local workspace if an import cannot be completed.
  • Discoverable workspace tools. Product pages and the Guide now explain multiple local documents, reopening saved work, duplication, Undo/Redo, and the exact More → Export backup path. Clear all also offers an Export backup first button before anything is removed.
  • More direct example links. Calls to view finished examples now open the template gallery—or the exact featured invoice—while the main Templates navigation still opens the complete samples-page introduction.
  • More reliable browser storage. Damaged workspace data is rejected safely, while repeated documents reuse unchanged logo assets instead of storing unnecessary copies.
  • Cleaner invoice creation. New invoice is always available when it can perform a useful action, and its confirmation clearly shows that the current invoice remains in History while a blank invoice becomes active. The editor now offers professional starting points through a compact “Start with…” menu, while untouched blank drafts no longer fill the local workspace.
  • Cleaner search and AI discovery. Public pages, internal links, canonical tags, social metadata, structured data, and the sitemap now agree on direct clean URLs. A factual machine-readable site guide also helps compatible tools find the most useful product, template, guide, and trust pages.
  • Clearer local-storage guidance. Backup reminders and privacy explanations now state more directly that browser-local drafts cannot be remotely recovered.
  • More precise free-use wording. The site explains that core creation and exports are free while disclosing the small InvoiceCraftly footer credit.

Fixed

  • Calmer editor layout. Removed a temporary preview flash, duplicate right-side scrolling and Undo/Redo controls, toolbar movement caused by changing save-status text, desktop header-action overlap, and the misleading manual-save checkmark. The preview now states its local-autosave status, while unavailable New invoice, Undo, Redo, and last-document Delete controls explain how to enable them.

Important

  • Form submissions leave the browser. Unlike invoice content, information deliberately submitted through Contact or Feedback is processed for email delivery as described in Privacy.

No action is required.

Earlier improvements

Professional examples, mobile editing, and export fixes

New

  • Finished invoice examples. Added profession-based examples with realistic fictional details, logos, and scan-to-pay QR codes.
  • Visual guide. Added a step-by-step guide with an annotated finished invoice.

Improved

  • Responsive editor. Editing and preview controls adapt more clearly to smaller screens.
  • Invoice branding. Seller and client contact details use compact export-safe icons, and every export includes the linked Made with InvoiceCraftly.com credit.

Fixed

  • PDF page handling. Normal single-page invoices no longer produce an unnecessary duplicate page from sub-point A4 rounding.
  • SVG fonts and markup. SVG exports preserve the invoice font families and valid XHTML structure more reliably.
