37 hours at €85/hour: 37 × €85.00 = €3,145.00.
2 hours 15 minutes at €85/hour: 2h15m is 2.25 decimal hours, so 2.25 × €85.00 = €191.25.
Mixed rates: 4 hours at €80/hour (€320.00) plus 3 hours at €100/hour (€300.00) gives a subtotal of €620.00.

Minutes as a fraction of an hour
15 minutes = 0.25 hours, 30 minutes = 0.5 hours, 45 minutes = 0.75 hours, 1 hour 15 minutes = 1.25 hours, 2 hours 30 minutes = 2.5 hours. A common mistake: 2:30 in H:MM notation is 2 hours 30 minutes, which is 2.5 decimal hours — not 2.30. This calculator accepts either form and normalizes both to the same decimal-hours value before calculating.

Common mistakes
Check these before invoicing
Treating minutes as hundredths of an hour — 2:30 is 2.5 decimal hours, not 2.30.
Mixing several hourly rates without checking which task used which rate.
