Proforma invoice vs final invoice
A proforma invoice shows the expected terms of a sale before it is finalized. It is not a request for payment, a final tax invoice, or proof that goods or services were supplied. A final invoice is issued once the transaction is confirmed and payment is due, and it is the document your accounting and payment-reminder tools track.
Convert to invoice when you're ready to bill
Once your client approves the proforma, open it from your document library and choose Convert to invoice.
